Becoming a Country Fair Sponsor

The Southlands Country Fair has become a popular annual tradition, where the citizens of the lower mainland are invited to come and enjoy "a day in the country, without leaving the city". From pony rides, old fashioned farmyard games, and spectacular equestrian entertainment, to a local arts and crafts market and delicious food enjoyed outdoors while listening to live music, the Fair is a place where young and old alike can experience the charm and magic of this unique corner of the City. It is a wonderful opportunity to promote and showcase your business in front of many thousands of Vancouver residents.

The typical audience at Country Fair is a mixture of affluent horse-oriented people and west-side families with young children. In conjunction with the Fair, Southlands Riding Club also hosts a Pre-Fair Hoe Down Party and Silent Auction - a ticketed event attended mainly by Southlands area residents and Riding Club members - which presents additional opportunities for sponsorship exposure to a somewhat different audience from the Fair itself.

New this year, Southlands Riding Club is also launching the Country Fair Summer Riding Program. Partial proceeds from the Fair and Pre-Fair Party are being used to enable several underprivileged children to take a series of riding lessons with local riding schools and Southlands Riding Club instructors. We sincerely hope that increased Fair proceeds in the years to come will allow this program to grow and benefit many more children - children who otherwise would never be able to experience the joys that horses can bring to life.
