Becoming a Member

At Southlands Riding Club we welcome horse lovers of all ages and interests. The majority of our riding members participate in Dressage, Hunter/Jumper, Eventing and pleasure riding. Others are involved in Modern Pentathlon, Polocrosse, trail riding, carriage driving, Thoroughbred racing, Natural Horsemanship, "fox" hunting with the Fraser Valley Hunt, and Pony Club activities.

As well as full riding memberships in various age categories, other options are available for part time riders who lease their horses and for non-riding members. Click on the Membership Categories link for the current membership dues. Details of the various payment options offered are on the Membership Application form. Visiting riders are welcome to use Club facilities by paying a guest fee. A waiver of liability must be signed by anyone riding at the Club.

Southlands supports horse lovers under the age of 21 with an active Junior/Intermediate Committee, and also hosts meetings, training sessions and competitions for the Vancouver Pony Club.

The Rusty Stirrup Club is a group of "vintage" riders (40+) who get together on a regular basis — at SRC and at other venues — to share a love of horses, ride in a non-competitive atmosphere, to learn, have fun with their horses, and socialize with like-minded adults. Non-riders and parents of our younger members are welcome.
