Vicki began her riding career right here at Southlands Riding Club with her first pony “Little Cavalier”

As a teenager she and her Irish Thoroughbred moved to California to train with Dick Collins at the Pebble Beach Equestrian Center. 

Returning to Vancouver to attend UBC, Vicki began training and competing with young Thoroughbreds in the hunters and jumpers locally and throughout the Western United States.

In the 1970’s , after marrying and starting a family she became horseshow mother, trainer and groom for her two daughters who competed in the Pony Hunters and  Junior Jumpers.

Still infected with the love of horses after raising five children, she returned to her competitive career.

Vicki has competed at Indio, California, Spruce Meadows in Calgary, throughout B.C., Washington and Oregon.  She has also hunted with the Cattistock Hunt in Dorset, England for many years and after importing a young Irish Draught filly in 1995 began a breeding program to develop young horses for the showring.

For the past 15 years, Vicki has volunteered for the Pacific Riding for the Disabled and is currently president and instructor for P.R.D.A. at Southlands Riding Club.

She is a Level 1 certified coach, qualified to train Hunters, Jumpers and equitation riders for competition.
