Liz Morton Instructor - Southlands Riding Club (604)
339-5269 Liz has over 35 years of experience in riding, competing and all-round horsemanship, with Dressage as her main focus now. Over the years she has trained with a number of the Lower Mainland's prominent trainers and nationally listed riders, was well as visiting clinicians with Olympic credentials. She is a certified Equine Canada Level I Coach and has made teaching and training her career since 1998. Liz also holds a graduate-level diploma in Adult Education and specializes in working with adult learners and riders, teaching dressage fundamentals from Introductory Level (walk/trot) to Second Level. Low/beginner jumping lessons are also available. Lessons emphasize a strong foundation for the rider, focusing on position and using teaching and training methods that encourage a harmonious partnership between horse and rider. Individual programs are designed to help you meet your riding goals - whether that is safe and enjoyable pleasure riding, competition or horse ownership - and have fun doing it! Liz happily works with riders at all levels and all types of horses. She enjoys training the more sensitive breeds, and has successfully trained horses for the Arabian Sport Horse/Dressage divisions, including a 2009 regional champion. Horses
are available for lessons (all levels) and for part lease to intermediate+
