834-1834 I grew up in Switzerland where I started my riding career on Shetland Ponies providing ample opportunity practicing falling off and getting back up! My childhood-love for horses accompanied me through various natural horsemanship camps, jumping, eventing, western riding and finally to classical dressage lessons in a riding school. Over the years I have trained with many talented teachers: quiet backyard trainers and Olympic-level coaches. Their teaching and the horses I work with keeps me inspired and humble to the art of riding and horsemanship. I am a CEF Level 1 coach (working on Level 2) and CEF Vaulting coach. I also judge regional dressage shows with my provincial “r” dressage judge card. I teach classical dressage and lungeing lessons, drill team/quadrille for juniors and adults and lower-level jumping lessons as well as stable management. I look forward to starting up a vaulting team at SRC in October. Over the years I have developed many horses and competed at various levels to win awards in dressage and jumping. My other “indoor” profession (psychotherapist in private practice) allows me to incorporate sports and animal psychology into my lesson program. I greatly enjoy working with horse and rider in a partnership that incorporates empathy and communication while improving riding skills. I have school horses available in Southlands and work at SRC and the Lower Mainland.
