⚠️ Clinic Update – Brent Stewart Clinic ⚠️ DEC 20th & 21st
After careful consideration, we’ve made the decision to cancel this weekend’s Brent Stewart Clinic.
With ongoing weather challenges, highway closures, and difficult travel conditions, combined with a few recent cancellations from participants choosing to be extra cautious around biosecurity, we feel this is the most responsible choice for everyone involved.
The safety and wellbeing of our horses, riders, and clinicians always comes first, and this decision reflects that priority.
📌 What’s next:
• All participants will be contacted directly regarding refunds or credits
• We are actively working on rescheduling a future clinic and will share details as soon as they’re confirmed
Thank you so much for your understanding, and for always supporting thoughtful, horse-first decisions. 💙🐴SEE YOU IN JANUARY!

About Darcy Henkel
Darcy’s lifelong dedication to horsemanship began on Alberta mountain trails and evolved into an extraordinary 27-year career with the Vancouver Police Department. As a Mounted Unit officer—and later the trainer for both horses and riders—she worked in high-pressure urban environments, parades, demonstrations, and major public events.
Since retiring, Darcy has devoted herself to coaching riders from all disciplines (English & Western) to build confident, willing, well-prepared horses. Her approach blends classical equitation, clear communication, and a deep respect for the welfare of the horse.
What You’ll Learn
Darcy introduces riders to the dynamic sport of Working Equitation, covering:
• Working Dressage – precision, balance, and communication
• Ease of Handling – confident, thoughtful navigation through obstacles
• Speed Phase – ride with accuracy, rhythm, and partnership
The focus is always on developing a brave, relaxed, and responsive horse while encouraging thoughtful, correct horsemanship.
