ROBIN FERGUSON - president
Robin was born and raised in BC and enjoyed riding horses as a child. After a long sabbatical, she re-discovered her love of riding in 2017 and became a passionate member of the Southlands community. Robin is currently training her new young horse, Stevie Nyx, and is focused on honing her dressage skills. Robin has a strong business background and has worked in the wealth management industry for over 25 years. She is currently a Partner & VP at Barrantagh Investment Management, a Toronto-based boutique investment firm, focused on serving institutional clients across Canada.
Toireasa jespersen - Vice president
Toireasa has been an SRC member since 2018 and owns two horses in the Southlands area. She enjoys spending many hours with her daughter at the club.
Toireasa is a lawyer, practising civil litigation for over 10 years. Since taking some time away from practising law, she has volunteered with a number of non-profits like SRC, including Vancouver Pony Club.
bRI GLAZIER (she/her) - DIRECTOR
Bri has been riding in Southlands for over 25 years and has been a member of the Southlands Riding Club since 2007. An avid eventer, you can usually find Bri jumping around the cross country course, practicing a dressage test, or just strolling through the flats with her two horses, Cash and Cheddar.
Outside of riding, Bri is a registered psychologist. She works in public health providing neuropsychological evaluations. She feels passionately about mental health, diversity, and her two cats.
Jane Milton - director
Elizabeth Jane Milton Q.C. was born in Chilliwack BC and has lived in the Vancouver area since 1975. While she rode and showed quarter horses in her childhood, she took approximately 40 years away from all thing equestrian while she pursued her legal career first with Bull Housser and Tupper, and later with Norton Rose Fulbright. She returned to riding in 2013 to prepare for a riding safari in Africa. Retired since December 2019, she now owns three horses and shows both in BC and California. She has been a member of the Southlands Riding Club since 2013.
katie wilde - director
Katie is a software engineering leader, and has fifteen years of experience leading teams of up to 50 engineers. Katie holds a Masters degree in Management and Strategy from the London School of Economics, and a bachelors in Economics and Philosophy from the University of Cape Town. Katie grew up on a dairy farm in South Africa with her parents, two sisters and a motley crew of rescued thoroughbreds and adopted Welsh ponies. She now lives in Vancouver with her wife, Brooklyn, their two cats and of course her horse, Ray.
kim beaudin
Kim has been a lifelong equestrian, first riding horses in her friends’ backyard in Edmonton, Alberta. She joined Southlands Riding Club in 2017 and became more active in lessons, learning to jump, and competing for the first time in 2020. Along the way, she has volunteered with the rescue horses, participated in the hunter/jumper committee, and supported various club initiatives—including clearing blackberry bushes, reorganization of jumps, and painting poles.
Professionally, Kim is an Engineering Manager in tech, leading teams to build software solutions. With a background as a developer, she understands the logical side but now focuses on product delivery, and team collaboration, mentorship, and coaching developers to grow their skills.
MARK DAMM - DIRECTOR
Mark is the Founder and CEO of FuseForward Group and a certified management consultant. Mark Damm has been involved with SRC since January 2024 when he joined the Board. Mark brings to the Club his expertise in complex facilities management, corporate governance and management, new product development coupled with grant and revenue generation experience.
Mark and his daughter Jessica are both active club members involved with the Horse Rescue program.
sarah herriott - director
Sarah Herriott is the Founder of Peak Edge IR Advisory, a Vancouver-based firm specializing in investor relations and capital markets communications for public companies. She has 15+ years of experience advising executive teams and boards on strategy, stakeholder engagement, and governance.
Previously, Sarah served as Director of Investor Relations at Methanex Corporation, and held investor relations and corporate development roles at Hecla Mining Company. Sarah holds an MBA from Queen's University and a BComm from UBC.
sarah nathanson - director
Sarah joined the Southlands Riding Club in 2025 and is working on remaining calm while in a ring with more than one other horse. She is new to riding and to the Southlands community and has found a welcoming, supportive group of riders who are generous in sharing their knowledge and expertise and answering all her questions, usually without laughing.
Prior to learning how to muck a stall, Sarah was General Counsel, Corporate Secretary and COO of Thunderbird Entertainment, a publicly traded Canadian animation and television company. Much of her work involved corporate governance and advising the Board on policy considerations and risk management.
sarah parker - director
Sarah moved to Vancouver in 2003 to study pharmaceutical sciences at UBC. As a lifelong horse lover, she quickly fell in love with the Southlands community.
Sarah works as a pharmacist in Vancouver. She has specialized in addictions and mental health, and now works as a specialty pharmacist focusing on oncology and rheumatology. Sarah has a passion for cultivating and maintaining diverse and inclusive environments and loves growing and learning alongside family and community.
